About The Ingredients CHICKEN MEAL - The chicken used is strictly human quality chicken, the same as you would serve your family. The Chicken Meal and other meat sources do not contain by-products. There are no bones or indigestible parts in the Chicken Meal. The chicken is cooked at the supplier to maintain freshness and reduce the possibility of contamination in handling and shipping uncooked product. WHEAT & GRAIN -Whole wheat and selected parts of the wheat berry are used as the base grain. Wheat grains are more digestible than corn and are one of the most nutritionally balanced cereal grains. A highly digestible source of carbohydrates, fiber and energy. No low quality fillers such as wood fiber, peanut hulls, cotton seed, corncobs, soybeans, straw or citrus pulp are found in Flint River Ranch products. NO PRESERVATIVES - No Chemical preservatives are used in Flint River Ranch products. Only natural Vitamin E is used as a preservative. Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant that retards the oxidation of other vitamins in food. Most kinds of dog food include by-products and chemical preservatives. Use of low quality products and chemical preservatives can cause dry skin, allergic reactions, dental disease and overall poor health.
