The round disc like transmitters run on (3) AA batteries and has a running life of about 6 months. Place the transmitters where you don't want your dogs to go and turn it on. The transmitters will broadcast a FM radio frequency in the range you set it to. When your dog wearing the collar, first enter this range, they will receive an audible tone followed by stimulation that will increase the closer they get to the transmitter. Thus detouring your pets from certain Zones inside your house.
